About Us

Our  Doctorate Program  (DP) provides for the official recognition of phD degree from the Universidad de Salamanca. It has successfully run though the quality evaluation and verification procedures for DP's ruled by the present Spanish regulation (RD99/2011).

Our goal is to introduce and  train the students towards the acquisition of skills in research and development .We offer a variety of research lines, currently developed by our staff in Universidad de Salamanca (USAL) as well as in the nearby Pulsed Laser Center (CLPU). Our target  is to develop science with technological potential in the fields of applied physics and engineering., according to international quality standards . A substantial fraction of our research interests  belong to the priorities of the European Union, as are nanotechnology, micro/nano electronics, spintronics, photonics, efficient energy, manufacturing, climate change, etc.  Our DP, therefore, provides for a wide selection of subjects of hot interest,   favouring the interdisciplinary interaction and sensitive to the present society's technological demands.
